6 Ways EA Sports Can Improve Fifa 13

Fifa 12 has been a great game to play but there were some basic improvements/additions EA sports could of made to make the Fifa 12 gaming experience a hell load better.

I’m going to give some opinions on what EA Sports can do to make the Fifa 13 gaming experience a great one as well as one that is overall realistic.

Player Faces
Over the years, the EA Sports DEV team have done a fantastic job in improving the authenticity of players faces, but in current Fifa game, (Fifa 12) there are still well known players that look completely unlike the faces of the players we see in real life. An example of this, Manchester United Northern Ireland defender Johnny Evans and funnily enough, Evans on Fifa 12 looks like former Manchester United captain Roy Keane. Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) is deffiently ahead of Fifa in terms of creating the right mould of player faces.

Improving ‘in gaming’ atmosphere
I think this one of the key areas the EA Sports DEV team should improve on, this includes the authenticity of the fans chatting, an example of this, every time Manchester United play (real life) they usually chant “Rooney, Rooney, Rooney” this should be included in Fifa 13, as this adds to realism when playing games with Manchester United.

Another way I believe EA can improve in the gaming experience is by making ‘derby’ matches more intensifying, such as the EL Clasico derby with both Barcelona and Real Madrid fighting it out, or the ‘Manchester Derby’ between Manchester United and Manchester City. They could do this by showing real life clips of previous events between all four teams etc.

‘Better’ Commentators
I really think EA should bring Andy Gray and even include Richard Keys, for me, personally, they are best commentators for their liveliness they bring to games, I really find Martin Tyler and Andy Smith boring and they do no favors for the game, commentary wise.

‘Improve’ the officiating
In Fifa 12, I think the officiating/referring system in place is appalling, I’ve made countless perfectly tackled challenges in the penalty box and when the opponent is clear on goal and have perfectly timed the tackle (replays shows I clearly got the ball and the player just falls over from getting the ball) and It’s been called as a foul, given a yellow or even worse a RED card, when the tackle was perfectly timed. Also in terms of authenticity I believe there should be more offside ‘mistakes’ on Fifa 12, 99.99% of off side’s in my experience count as offside and in real life, you see plenty of errors by linesman not calling an offside when it should of been offside, we need to see more of these offside ‘errors’ in Fifa 13

Better graphics
Every year, Fifa improves their overall graphics display output, but if you compared PES 12, and Fifa 12, PES out muscles Fifa 12 in every way, graphics wise. Not only that, Fifa should also improve on the quality of the stadiums, they look very ‘dated’ to say the least.

Proper names for competitions
For some strange and bizarre reason, Fifa 12 are yet to implement the proper naming of some of their game modes. They are yet to include the Uefa Champions League or the Europa Leauge and I strongly believe this needs to be included in the upcoming Fifa 13 game. Also, the billboards in these competitions should represent this, so for the Europa Leauge, it should of the Europa Leauge sponsors as well as the Europa Leauge logo represented in the Europa Leauge competition games and the same goes for the Uefa Champions Leauge.

    Ayy man, one thing that I really want to be fixed for FIFA 13 is pablo Barrera’s face… He’s an Awsome player, but I don’t even thing they tried on him, hes one of mexicos top players… It’s the least he deserves

    2 things that could be included:
    1.  Variety of cut scenes during a match, for eg: players arguing or preparing to start a fight when a foul is commited. Players arguing with a  referee or a  linesman when they make a very important desicion late in the game that could change the outcome. You could show a 4th official  adding on the extra minutes. On a serious injury you could add showing paramedics rushing on to the field to aid the injured player. This would help add more effect to the whole game and give it more of a real feel .

    2. In career mode after each season you could change the design of the kits. It might not be the actual kit for the next season, but you guys always make a new game with the official kit. And if a team is promoted or relegated the crest/symbol of the league that the team is promoted to or relegated to is displayed on the teams kit. Eg: if Crystal Palace is promoted to the Premiership the npowerchampionship crest is removed and changed to the premierleague crest.

    Im sure lot of people would like to see more legend players who dont play anymore. For instance you can add international teams with older rosters , for example brazil 1994,1998,2002 and so on and that way there will be a lot of good old players like romario from brazil,bebbeto, ronaldo, maradona from argentina, roberto baggio from italy. So basicly most popular international teams with different rosters for each year

    well for me, spanish commentating is dated. can get old and feels like they repeat the same phrases 3-4 even 5times a match. and maybe just maybe have an add on where if mexico is playing at home, their opposition’s goalkeep kicking the ball would activate the fans saying puto!! i mean crud and raunchy even maybe over the top but thats how real life futball en mexico is played :p

    When playing as a virtual pro, you should be able to call for a pass either in the air or on the ground.  The way it is now the computer passes in the air at all the wrong times, like when standing 5 feet away with nobody in-between.

      i agree with you pro clubs needs a massive fix you should be given a squad of random players for each position and every time you level up each player should gain experience points and you can pick stats to upgrade. also agree with the pass thing it is so annoying when they are running opposite direction with back to you and they turn 180 and chip up in air

    I would like to see experience be better incorporated into the game somehow. Younger and inexperienced players can struggle from pressure in big games, while older and experienced players don’t have this problem, but FIFA does not reflect this in the game.  Maybe make more mental attributes to reflect this?  Like composure or finishing under pressure, etc.

    Also they should take into account whether or not a player is a “hothead” or not.  I can think of no better real life example than Mario Balotelli.  He has a knack of getting many red and yellow cards in real life, yet in FIFA there is no difference between him and any other player when it comes to the likeliness of getting a booking.  Perhaps in the game, when Balotelli goes in for a challenge, make it so there is a risk he makes a rash challenge and gets booked.  In one way or another, this has to be accounted for FIFA to be more realistic.

    There are a few things in career mode I would like to see changed.  One would have to be player development, which is poor.  An example of this is with Paul Pogba of Manchester United.  I started Pogba every game on my team in career mode until he was 24 years old and I made sure I kept his form up.  His overall rating? 74.  As a player who has a lot of potential, It would be nice for a player who plays that much to be a lot better than 74….
    If I hadn’t played him that much, I am sure he would not have improved as much as he did. A player, who is supposed to have a very bright future in football should not improve to just a measly 74 by age 24.  In my opinion, players should improve in two different ways: one is from the coaches and the other is from experience.  Maybe offer the ability to higher coaches to help players improve is a feature that could be added in FIFA 13.  But regardless if coaches are added or not, make it so young players develop their skills much quicker.

    Also, for younger players, their work rate, weak foot, and skill moves stay constant throughout their career.  Why it is probably true a 16 year old player out of the youth academy may not have the best weak foot ability at that time, by the time he is 21 or 22, this will have probably changed.  How hard a player works for a club may change too, for the better or for the worse.  I would like to see this change happen.

    Trading is also something that may need to be looked at.  It seems to me that players will go to any team at any time if the right amount of money is offered.  But there is more to trading than just money.  The time on a players contract is a factor, what league the player is in, what league the player is being traded too, his nationality, what team the player is on, how big of a star the player is at his club, etc, are all factors that seem to play little or no effect on trading.  One in game example I can think of is about Neymar.  After playing 7 seasons in career mode, Neymar still remained on the same team he was on in the Brazilian League. Although this is possible that Neymar will choose to stay on the same team for the rest of his life, I don’t think it is at all likely.  Big name clubs will come and try to swoop him up in the next couple of years.  I think the only reason he has remained on the same Brazilian team for those 7 years is because no club could offer enough money to buy him. So the Neymar’s club refused to allow a transfer because the fee was too low and Neymar kept accepting new club contracts.  This shouldn’t be how it works.  When Neymar’s contract is about to expire, I would imagine clubs will make an offer for him.  Santos (Neymar’s club) would either accept the transfer fee to make a profit, or risk having Neymar choose to sign with another club.  To fix this, try installing a league and club prestige rating system.  The higher a club and leagues prestige, the more players will want to join that club.  A club’s prestige will be affected by how it performs agaisnt other clubs in its league and a league prestige would be affected by how that league performs agaisnt others in the champions league and such.  Trading is based too much about money, and needs to be adjusted to be more realistic. 

    Something new I would like to see would be more factors that affect the club revenue.  Club revenue is pretty basic so far.  It depends only on how a club does in tournaments, league, and trading.  It can go more in depth than this.  For example, attendance.  Getting people to come watch a clubs game is very important to making money.  This depends on how a club is performing, what division a club is in, etc.  A real life example I can think of would be West Ham getting a new stadium.  This new stadium will create a lot of buzz for next year.  And since the stadium is bigger, it offers an opportunity to make more money since there are more seats to fill.  Try making the revenue more detailed for FIFA 13.

    Club development is another thing I wouldn’t mind seeing.  I would be great to see clubs get new jerseys, have there patches adjust depending on what division they are in, getting new stadiums, and other things of that nature. 

    For the actual game play, I really only have one minor issue, and that is a feel as if speed is unjustly overpowered compared to all other attributes.  I wish that could get fixed.

        Sure there is international breaks now. So it wouldn’t have any affect on your career unless it was injuries while on international duty. But that’s about it.

       I find myself nodding at pretty much everything you have written in this post. The only question I have is about club prestige. Isn’t that already in there? I’m sure I have had times playing in the lower leagues of England where a player has refused a transfer because he “wants to play for a more experienced manager” or “my league is not prestigious enough.” Granted, you can usually change his mind with a couple thousand more added to the wage offer, but this might be more of a comment on real life player mentality than any error on EA’s part! :)
      Maybe prestige is only a factor for your own team, and they could tweak the AI prestige factor as well… That said, I do agree the amount of time on a players contract should be a factor in their price and their parent club’s willingness to sell.
      Anyway, well thought out post with good suggestions!

    I would really like to see more stadiums or at least less generic stadiums and more authentic team stadiums. For example, Bayer Leverkusen uses a generic stadium, so does Chivas de Guadalajara, they should have their own stadiums like the Omnilife and more authentic stadiums. The player faces as well need improvement but overall wonderful game! I’ve played since FIFA 07. Keep it up EA SPORTS!

    I would like to see Manager avaters incorporated into the game, i feel the managers are the only people in the game that have been left out. It would be great to see managers like Mourinho and Wenger doing their thing on the touch line. So touchline activity and individual manager traits and behaviour needs to be looked at. This i believe will give the game even more authenticity.

    Tactical defending may be something that needs to be edited too. I would first like to say that I think adding this feature GREATLY improved the game.  The legacy defending was just a bunch of crap.  Even though it is a big improvement, there is still a lot more that needs to be done.  In real life I would imagine it is very hard to mark a player of Messi’s talent, yet in FIFA 12, any player can contain one of the world’s greatest players by holding A…..and I mean any player, whether it is a great defender, like Thiago Silva, or a mediocre striker, like Micheal Owen. This seems ridiculous to me. Perhaps the defense attributes need to go more in depth in order to account for this rather than just having interceptions, tactical awareness, marking, slide tackle, and standing tackle as the main attributes for defending.
    Also, I think the easiness of tackling in FIFA 12 doesn’t vary much from player to player.  Maybe I have got the tackling down really well, but I feel like I can make good tackles easily with any player on the team, regardless of how good they are at tackling.  It would be nice to get this looked at.

    And finally for defending, maybe make blocking more challenging to do.  Blocking for the most part is done by the computer and can be easily achieved when a player holds down the A button to mirror is player.  Just like needing to press B to make a tackle, why not make a player press a button to make a block?  This would make shot fakes and pass fakes (which is a move only used to change directions quickly) more effective for the right reasons, unlike its current use.  Tactical defending was a great step forward in the defense aspect for FIFA.  Now it just needs to go more in depth.  

    For virtual pro little was done from FIFA 11 to FIFA 12. Try to make more positions available for selection, maybe make more play-styles available from player to player as well.

    For virtual pro online, remove the ability for a player to play the “any” position.  I feel the purpose of playing virtual pro is to control one and only one player so you have to work with other players online to succeed, it isn’t about one player controlling over half the team, which easily ruins the game.  

    Also, the goalkeeper is too dominate in virtual pro.  The player only has to timely press A to make a save.  If a player guesses the wrong direction, there is no consequence for that, which is ridiculous.  The player can also repeatedly press the save button, and the goalie will not dive until the player has kicked the ball, which is also ridiculous.  The keeper should dive or move out of position when the player hits the save button early.  The keeper should also dive in the direction the player makes him dive.  This would bring so much more realism to the virtual pro game mode

      i HATE the auto-defend feature in ’12. Fifa ’10 & ’11 had a similar feature where all you’d need to do is hold “A”  but it was nearly impossible to deke a defender in Fifa ’12 without losing the ball. I would like to see them get rid of that in ’13 or at least tone it down so a defender isn’t mimicking the offensive player’s moves  so strictly.

      i totally agree with your defending views as it doesn’t matter how bad of a defender you are as long as you have the pace and the strength then you all right. physical attributes dominate the game you can a world class striker like Mario Gomez but you are simply not as good as the likes of abonglahor or sturridge

       RE: virtual pro: I’d love to see the virtual pro fleshed out a little bit more as well. While we are on the subject, in one of the few breaks from realism I actually WANT from FIFA, I’d love to see the VP follow you in manager mode if you change clubs, and never request a transfer. I mean, I get it. Why does my 84 OVR VP want to player in the England Division Two when I decide to start a new career? I don’t blame him. But he’s MY virtual pro! I have let other stars go when they hand in transfer requests, sometimes reluctantly, because it feels realistic. But don’t take my virtual pro away from me!

    First of all i think they should reorganise the teams and make new leagues like Liga I (Romania),Super League Greece,etc.I also want to see new replics from the comentators.Second:In the pause between the 2 halftimes you can really try the players that you want change.Third:Add new mcompetition modes like Uefa Champions League and Europa League and make them cooporanting between them (showing the results after your match in Europa League if you aer playing in Uefa Champions League and vice-versa) and after that the two champions of Europa League And Uefa Chapions League play for the Uefa Supercup.Also you should add real names to the cups.Make better stadiums and make the grass really 3D  couse it looks like a carpet.

    An ever-present obsession with how to improve the game for Manchester United, suggesting that Andy Gray is reinstated despite his idiotic views on female officials and neanderthalic views in general; wondering why, ‘for some strange and bizarre reason’ EA don’t feature ‘proper’ competition names when it’s clear EA don’t have the rights to use the name UEFA Champion’s League or Europa League. You have much to learn about the development of games and it’s no wonder that EA don’t take notice of user feedback with drivvle like this being written. If you want to a realistic football experience, get some of your mates and go the local park instead of sitting on your arse and wasting £45 on a ‘new’ FIFA release.

    Ok first things first, Although im reading some pretty decent ideas the majority of the ideas im seeing are crazy. Starting with the things the guy wrote at the top. ‘Improving ‘in gaming’ atmosphere’ so if you decide to sell rooney the Man u fans will still be chanting for him…..and what if rooney has a shocking game, scores an own goal and gets sent off. that is a laughable idea. ‘Better commentators’ no just new and imporoved commentry will do fine. ‘better graphics’ you do understand the ps3 and xbox 360 is nearing its end cycle, and does anyone actually think the graphics are bad? play fifa 2001 n then try 2012 on a hd tv…its not bad ey. ‘Competiton names’ wow that nieave. U E F A champions league, EA would have to pay the rights (alot of £££) and for what, a name? spend the money else where EA. It makes me laugh reading some peoples suggestions…i mean no disrespect but thing like, arguing with the ref, linesman…or seeing the manager or subs…WHY!!! what difference will that have on the game, you will play one game and go ‘theres my subs….cool’ and never notice it again. Below are the things i hope EA actually attempt to change, i say attempt becuase over the past 10 years there has only been around 10 noticable changes in the fifa games.1, Improved CPU defending on your team. (no urgency in fifa 12 until they are inside the box and then the only contribution is the CPU giving away a penalty)

    2, Improved impact engine, we have all experienced the perfect tackle to be shown a yellow/red.

    3, more cards, more fouls, more sending off…FOR THE CPU. i’ve gone an entire career mode season on world class and not one CPU team gave away a penalty or got red carded, and around 2 yellow cards shown. we all take risks sometimes and get booked, i want to see the CPU take abit more risk.

    4, career mode improvements
    :loan anytime of the season, Loan offers you send sometimes being accepted, even though they are not listed for loan.
    :staff employment, coaches, fitness, healing etc
    :new cut scenes (your just being lazy EA)
    :more ways to get revenue, ticket sales, etc

    to be honest there is so much id like to see implemented…but EA wont becuase they are lazy money grabbers so ill just stop typing now n wait for the NEW fifa 13 to come out and accept its going to be fifa 12.

    i would like a brazilian commentaries by ulisses costa and neto i am a brazilian fan of the series and the pes franchise has brilliant done that but i love fifa and that i like to see and all the important leagues like taça santander libertadores and the campeonato brasileiro and of course fix the bugs and i should you guys must do an improvement on the refree ok thanks for read that

    Simple improvements would make the game so much more enjoyable such as:
    -improving crowd graphics inc. crowd celebrations
    -customizable stadiums aswel as upgrading your stadium in career mode except for the real stadiums (of course)
    -customizing cup tournaments such as, the tournament name, the ball which is used in that tourny, the final satdium inc. random, and music on entrance so we could upload the champs league music for ecc which we can change name of (no copyright issues surely lol)
    -multiple players challenging together for headers
    -a lot more mistakes, players slicing cross clearances, keepers dropping crosses and shots, keepers doing rob green specials, mis timed tackles from ai
    -all players rated over 85 or the potential of 85 TO HAVE REAL FACES suarez and cavani SHOCKING faces
    -more realistic transfers as way to many top players leaving in transfer windows like kaka to stoke n chicharito, silva to arsenal.
    -board takeovers for your team
    -international! full fixture list and competitions in career mode and being able to take over as an international manager, cant be that hard as you have already made a world cup and euro games
    -manager animations as on world cup 2012, made it so much better and it doesnt need real faces maybe jus the top managers and the rest generated and when you start career mode you have to build what you look like or import your face
    -press conferences where you sit 1st person answering questions and pre and post match interviews 1st person with someone like geoff shreeves
    -player awards such as, ballon dor european player of the year, gk, def, mid and att of the year in europe, competion best player and team of the year like you used 2 do

    With these improvements i believe fifa would be the best game ever, i know you could make a game like this even if it meant making it a 2 or 3 disc game where you have to install the data off 2 discs n the other 1 is the play disc kinda like forza 3 and 4 and the price go up a bit to maybe £55 but it wouldnt matter you would convert pes fans to fifa fans, im a fifa fan but do think it could still be better.

    When playing as a player instead of havin the Option to change team at the end of every season the player should b in a 3-4 year contract with a team n if things r not goin will in the team should bable to stir things up by lettin the player talk to the press of handed in a tranfer or even ask if ya can go out on loan if ya not gettin a lot of playing time n i think they should bring bk International games bk in player mode

    As a manager you can talk many thing about a player
    More real academic
    You can have more side manager
    And also international games when the international team calls the player

    Gameplay:
    More teams like japanese league, ukrain league, finish league
    And fix the player impact it dosen’t make any sens

    More dital to the player you creat on you’re PS3 or XBOX 360 or PC

    ive not got much to say as most things have been covered but id like to say i agree we need cut scenes like in pes and also on be a pro mode id like to see the abilty be called up for the international team and play international tournaments like the world cup

    Not sure if anyone remembers FIFA World Cup 2006 for ps2, but there was an unlockable that allowed you to turn on “walls” so the ball never went out of bounds. There was another unlockable for no fouls. Although this is against the simulation type game EA strives for, it made for fun, fast-paced offline gameplay and lots of laughs. I would love to see this brought back

    If a player on virtual pro online is &£@?ing around at the back, your team should be able to vote him out or give him a warning or something, kind of like how the captain can kick the goalie out ATM.
    In career mode young players should get better in the summer, I’m man utd and cleverly went out on loan for a season, played another with me and got to 75, that’s 3 up on his starting attribute. Also for career mode, players faces should age over time, making their hair grey, giving them wrinkles or deflated faces etc.

    1. Add the Blue Square Premier, alot of teams in this league have a bigger fan base than some teams in league 1 ! E.g. Luton, Wrexham and maybe even Fleetwood and everybody is calling it League 3 now anyway due to the little difference between league 2 and the blue square premier.

    2. Every team in the premiership needs their grounds on the game seen as theres only 5 atm !?! its annoying that you play sunderland away at east point arena, and not even a team like tottenham has its own stadium on the game ?

    3. Make the youth development more realistic! i had 10 youth team players promoted and the all got a fair amount of game time but no clubs took any of my players out on loan and they had only increased their overall by about 4 in 5 seasons !!

    There is already ‘Be a Pro’ etc., but what about a ‘Be a Ref’? you could work your way from the bottom of a 5 star rating and then eventually reach the World Cup and things like that.     What about Hampden Park, the national stadium. Not forgetting the history behind Ibrox and Celtic park, the Old Firm, it would make the Scottish fans able to play with far more realism if they could play on the real stadiums. There are some very large stadiums in Scotland so the atmosphere would be great for Scottish competitions.

    Make a feature where people can vs. eachother through wi-fi connection. Make it possible to vs. another person rather than a cpu. Also, have an update button so if a player changes teams you can update it. Make the falls and injuries more drastic.. like now whoops i tripped Fifa 13 i did a somersalt and scrped my knee. Its bleeding! Have an option to purposely do a foul. Oh Um I didnt mean to kick him in the crotch. (make that available) If someone is on the ground you can jump on them ,kick the ball at them, or step on them. Also have a choice to start a fight at the end of the game. please take note of this.     fifa 13 should be getting more new teams and leagues because there are these great teams in the world not on fifa 12 like shahtar donetsk or apoel fc they are amazing and they are not on fifa yet and wen a player breaks his foot after you make the substitute the player walks of just shacking his foot so fifa should get the physios on and help them out when a player gets a knock or are injured and have to be stretchered off and also when i make tackles i make them bang on the right time to do it and the ref gives them a free kick or penalty when i clearly got the ball also when i tackle or i am offside the ref takes to long to make te decision when im like half way down the pitch from the tackle ar when im literally near the goal they call it offside and also lower league like the conference prem and players from lower league should be getting more realistic faces say the the prem and the championship and league 1 should be getting more realistic or just the prem and the champ and other things that i cant think of yet

    Gameplay:
    - The impact engine is a great idea, but you would agree that it is way too far from working correctly. Players keep doing funny movements too often.
    - Goalkeepers are nice, but they always fail stupidly when they are about to be overpassed by a chip shot. Sometimes it is not even a chip shot, it’s just a high bouncing ball.
    - Referees… they make many mistakes inside the box (not sure if it is intended) and many more mistakes with the advantage rule. It’s OK that they fail sometimes, but it doesn’t make sense if we consider that offsides are 100% accurate. In my opinion, there should be some offsides mistakes, specially when it comes to doubtful situations.
    - I think the crazy skills some players do aren’t real at all. I would be careful with this and save the most hard and amazing skills to fewer players.

    Team Direction: 
    - I can´t believe you keep using the same interface. Specifically, the problem I find is that everything is inside a square that not even fits the whole size of the screen! It would be helpful to include a poligon representing player statistics in a global way, which can be possible if active area is increased.
    - As I only play friendly games, why don’t include player’s state of mind in them? Just as an option feature, it would force us to make different choices of players every single game.

    Others:
    - When a game comes to an end, there should be possible to go back to team choice step without returning to the main menu.
    You import the best ideas from PES and you finally made a great, challenging game (FIFA 10,11 and 12). You are ahead of the football games’ TOP 2 but don’t relax and keep the game close to reality.

    I am a teenageboy who has  had every solitary FIFA since 2002 including all the FIFA Streets and loved every one but i am expecting FIFA 13 to be supreme. I have some good ideas to improve the game and possibly attract some new customers. Firstly, i believe you could create the correct football stadiums for EVERY Barclays Premier League Team. E.g The Stadium Of lIGht is larger than the Etihad Stadium but its not on? Ask yourself why? I also think on career mode instead of a ‘Champions Cup’ you could have a real Champions League. Furthermore, I think there should be an option called ‘Be A Referee’ where you make the decisions in the match. For instance, circle to put the hand right, and square for the left. X to blow the whistle etc. And when you don’t have referee a good game, you could be put into a lower game (or this option could just be available on exhibtion). I also think 2 new celebrations should be put in. 1) Taking the shirt off. this would improve visual quality for the viewer but also make the scorer get booked. This represents real life. 2) If a goal is scored late on you should have the option to run into the crowd, this would also enable a booking. On FIFA 13 i also think that the EA Servers should improve or become stronger. Another intriguing idea, i believe for the Virtual Pro in career mode, instead of beginning in the first time you could start off in a young 7 a side team in a faraway country, then get scouted by a small club in the second division of a country, then the better you play, the better clubs approach you. I also think (similar to Fifa Street) you could have a futsal option or even a little similar mode to FIFA street itself. Many of my friends have similar ideas to this. In the arena i think you could have the shooting drill where the arena player passes to the computers player who will lay him off for a shot (the wherabouts is the players choice). Another classic idea is that you should be able to play, use, and sell your virtual pro on Ultimate Team. Then in your team you could have someone completely random’s pro.

    I think a more indepth managerial role would improve the sales and the overall game for insistance when loaning out players to teams in the same league you can negotiate that the player cannot play against you or if you were to be relegated there contract is terminated and there free to leave so basiclly you can negotiate the clause of the contract.
    I also think that give the gamer more control in SIM mode would be better, so when your SIMing a game you can still make the subs and possibly change the formation.

    If you were to put a more in depth managerial option for the game then you could put some internation comps in and as you progress as a manager in the A league, the Championship, The EPL or in La Liga say after you reach a 3 and a half to 4 star manager international teams start offering you contracts to try and get there nation into the EUROs or The World Cup or The Asian Cup or Africa Cup of Nations and so on….

    3.Режим карьеры тренер нужно дополнить перед сезоном приготовление футбольных газонов, чтоб оставались следы после подката игрока ну если грязное поле,  улучшение стадионов, чтоб была возможность самому назначать товарищеские матчи или назначить помощника который сам предоставит товарищеские матчи перед сизоном, возможность назначать тренировочные матчи, пресс конференция  до и после матча, возможность создать внешность тренера, тренировочные базы, показывать как команда прибывает на стадион, нормальные празнования кубка или победы, возможность быть тренером Международной команды участвовать на отборочных матчах ЧМ и ЧЕ, возможность общаться с игроками давать им наставления, да и еще хочется чтоб игроков забирали на Международные матчи как это было в FIFA 07, больше отмасферы на матчах, цены на матчь, сотрудничать со спонсорами, чтоб игроков наказывали за неспортивное поведение, ну и конечно Кубки которые я перечислил выше 
    4.Чтоб стадион был весь живой это например чтоб тренера присутствовали в матчах, игроки разминались при выходе команды чтоб выходили с детьми, 4 судьи , чтоб кто то давал мячи если улетел мяч за кромку поля, медицинская бригада, движение камер.
    5.Режим карьеры “Игрок” чтоб забирали на Международные матчи.
    6.Круто было бы если у игроков был пот на лице, там тутаировки, мокрые волосы, родинки и волоснение как в реале, и главное сделайте чтоб форма пачкалась ну конечно от зависимости погоды и усталость игроков   допустим от жаркой погоды, возможность быть судьей да и сделайте честных судей а то свестят по пустику   
    7. улучшение графики!!! и исправте баги!!!

    All I want is better refereeing. The Refs decisions on the game are so poor it makes you stop sliding in the box in fear of giving away a penalty (even when the tackle was timed to perfection, they’ll still give a penalty)..

    Also another problem with the game is when you make a standing tackle on someone, but then they block you off and get the ball back. it’s pathetic.

    My last issue is that when you sometimes play a 1 – 2 on the pitch, the receive player gets blocked off with any punishment to the offending player.

    I would love to have a more interactive youth academy in career mode. Some sort of training to improve young players. This could even be based on your successes, maybe every 5 wins you earn one training session for one player or something like that. Other than that the rest of the comments cover what should be improved.

    What makes me most angry is no doubt, when the referee does not mark fault when a player has the ball suffer a very strong charge, falls and loses the ball.Even if the opposing player who made the charge, has touched the ball, but the fact that  the player who is with the ball domain, have fallen, shows us that theopponent was only able to steal the ball because the player who had the ball was pushed .

     More stadiums for teams even not very famous..such as bolton ..blackburn.etc.. It makes the playing atmosphere different.. we will enjoy alot during the play..and I hope the commenter will read out every players … and opening songs for champions league ok? imagine we played so hard to get not so famous teams to qualify for champions league but the playing atmosphere is like a normal league match :( thats sad… I believe by making the champions league matches as real as possible really make a difference…i think all fifa fans will agree to that…. sometimes its the little thing which makes us wana play..not just good game play. its makes a tough season worthwhile when our team stands in the stadium and listen to that awesome champions league song!!!! I have been playing Fifa on my PC since Fifa95.. I am a huge fan of FIFA!!! Continue the great work Fifa!! I am 32 this year from Singapore. I wana play fifa till I am 80 or 90 years old!!!! I have been playing Fifa for good 18 years!! and running!! I love it!!!!

    i dont really care about career mode yes it can be improved but what im more interested in is online pro clubs, i think that once you create a club you have to create your own club crest then create 3 kits and also create a stadium which you can improve depending what level your club is, once all this is done you of course want to invite people to your club to do this you should send that player a contract say a 5 game contract which would mean they have to play 5 games before they can leave your club and also you have to assign them a kit number as i am a striker but hate the number 9, 10 and 11 and would love to play in a number 7 shirt upfront for my club.  also say you have 11 players in your club but only 4 of you are playing you should be able to put the pro’s of your team mates in positions you are not using and then of course that pro’s overall will change depending what postion you put it in, and with this also if you put someone’s pro in goals but that person has not been using their pro in goals of course your not going to have a very good gk, but if you do not have enough players in your club to do this you should be able to create your own cpu players because lets be honest the ones EA make and put it in not only look stupid but play like girls, so this would be a good idea if you can also upgrade them with the points you win as a club.  And also if you are in a middle of a game and a member of your club comes on, if they! go into the game room on the bench you should be able to substitute them in :) that is all

    A 2v2 matchmaking system!!! , there are so many players who would love to see this implemented its just never voiced sometimes. And no a 2v2 lobby does not count for so many reasons

    1. More players join therefore making it 6v6 or in some stupid cases 3v1 

    2. Players can just leave at any time in the match and wreck the entire game because there it isnt competitive , it doesn’t penalize you for disconnecting 

    3. Takes so long to set up a game and when you do they sometimes just leave 

    4. There just isnt that feel like head to head seasons, if there was a game mode for 2v2 and possibly leagues for 2v2 you’s would see so much more people playing the game and not loosing interest in it once you complete the head to head seasons and so on

    5. Pro clubs also doesnt cut it because of so many reasons , a couple are, shit! cpu team who are probably rated 50 , OP other online players who sit there playing all day who are probably 88 or so rating 

    We just want a 2v2 matchmaking system thats sets up a game with another 2 players who have invited there buddy’s to vs someone else

    also they need to scarp the biased gameplay. It is getting ridiculous and frustrating when the opposition get the benefit of the doubt and the referring is dreadful. They need to fix the impact engine as it sometimes make the game retarded and the ball will be on one side of the pitch and in a matter of seconds it’s on the other side and this has resulted in a countless number of goals scored against me in Career mode. Career mode needs some improvements like more realistic features like you having to comment on the news reports. Lastly the handball calls are dreadful and i think you should be able to challenge the calls the referees make.

    Where do i start? First and foremost i thought fifa 12 was excellent but being a die hard fan I came to the conclusion that they rushed it a bit reason being and my biggest pet hate is manager mode….. To start off it doesnt “take me there” i wanted to feel like i was in control  of making some very big decisions but it feels flat and why am i not in control of when and how my team is training? and the progression of players is totally unrealistic take this for example P.Barrera from 19 years old went from the npower league to the premiership winning numerous silver ware and didnt ever earn a shield i find this ridiculous as he was top goal scorer top assists etc but im sure you understand what i mean. Next to this is player awards they happen in real life so why not on the game and a legend record for players through out their career would be a nice feature, I could go on forever it just seems they got the game right but missed all the little things that make a game amazing for instance match of the day type thing showing highlights of the weeks goals and such would be awesome and would give you a feel of how the season is going and who to buy who to sell who to watch out for and all other things associated with a a managers tactics not to mention it would take you there and thats the whole point is it not?
    And why is there no cut scene showing players warming up before they are subbed on in real life this is how it happens and would add so much more intensity to subs and also make timing of the essence as it is in real life. 
    Im ranting now but i have so much more to say so if you need any tips EA i am more than willing to co-operate……

      I agree. EA have always missed the little things that make a game great. I think Fifa 10 was when everyone thought wow that It was such a step up. But since then expectations have increased and Fifa has failed to really wow us yet again. There’s was so many disappointments in Fifa 11 and 12 they just weigh out any good points making the game as a whole a disappointment.

      They just seem incomplete without the little things. The career mode just seems to restricted and repetitive.

         Fifa 12, in my opinion, was a huge step in the right direction after the disappointment that was career mode Fifa 11. I actually traded that game in and kept playing 10 for a year… But yes, a step in the right direction only makes us fans see how much better it could be!

    I think Fifa games have always improved although Fifa 11 in my opinion was terrible and i’d describe it as incomplete. The manager mode never took off and after five or six seasons with teams never buying new players and selling your own players seemingly more difficult and also you wouldn’t receive offers from other clubs the career mode just died. There was also the youth academy that had been removed and i just didn’t see the point in additional things in one Fifa being removed for the next. The academy before wasn’t good and was very basic although the transfer market was great for it’s time but also basic i just expected these things to always be in Fifa but continue to become more realistic and advanced. 

    Fifa 12. Ok immediately it seemed like Fifa was back on track and that Fifa 11 was just a release to keep us occupied for the hard worked on sure to be great Fifa 12. Well it seemed great when i played a few multiplayer kick off games and a few against the cpu. The gameplay just seemed more realistic and finally the game was hard. No more winning titles with newly promoted teams. 

    Manager mode Fifa 12.  Wow one of the first things i notice is the academy. It’s back and now unlike Fifa 11 the manager mode has a purpose,a road to follow and a place to go. 
    First game at home i’d describe as a great challenge and hard to win and one i could of easily lost. Although the away fixture didn’t just seem like a harder challenge and on i could of easily won it seemed like a totally different game. At the time i didn’t figure it out. It took some time for me to actually realise that there was indeed a difference between home and away games. Fifa 12 game play at home is great but away in my opinion it’s a pathetic game with so many little things in the game that have one purpose. To make the away games harder. Well they do but they are pathetic and so stupid. Your players runs, well many a time they don’t run, passing and dribbling ability, your placement when shooting, the cpu’s ability. There’s no point in me listing them all because you know what they are. In a real life scenario mentality would come in to it. Which can’t be put into a game as teams change and therefore mentality changes to. I’m not gong to write to much more so i’m gong to put my idea in a nut shell and end with that.

    Fifa 13 idea. Fifa 12 home fixture gameplay with the nonsense of the away games removed meaning Gameplay to be the same for all fixtures like it’s always been.

    I’m a die-hard career mode junky, so any improvements I can think of tend to gravitate towards improving that experience. One that has been playing around in my brain the last few weeks has been adding “zonal conditioning” (can’t you see that phrase in an EA press release?) The basic concept is to give user customization options to player growth. Players would improve certain position-enhancing stats faster when played in that position. For instance, you get a promising midfielder out of your youth academy and your team has a need for a back-up CDM (something I am facing in my current career mode.) By playing the youth in that role, stats and skills that benefit that position (marking, interceptions, long passes) would increase a little bit faster than other, less “CDM-ey” stats, such as crossing or finishing. Conversely, I have a youth team graduate on my team who ticks most of the boxes for an excellent striker, excepting that he runs at the speed of dark. In the new model, I could throw him out on the wing for half a season to see him condition his pace and acceleration before moving him back into a central striker role as a more complete package. (Real world example, Theo Walcott and Thierry Henry before him both started on the wing at Arsenal to “learn the game” before moving into their preferred central role… that is, assuming Theo gets there some day!) This system would allow you to rotate a player through various positions to have more utility players in the squad or leave one player in the same position over the course of his career to create a specialist. I would imagine a blend of the two would be the best course to a successful team.
    Ultimately, I feel this would add both short term goals and longevity to career mode, as you would have at least some control in how your players were developing, and therefore be more invested in seeing that progress bear fruit. It would also dovetail nicely with some of the other suggestions I’ve seen regarding team personality. By playing up the individual traits and positional skills of your players, you would be able to train them to fit into your team ethos rather than shoehorning them into your squad just because they have random good potential!
    Sorry to be so long-winded (and this is the edited-down version) but I’d love to see something like this implemented in FIFA 13 or 14!

    I love the new scouting and youth squad in FIFA 12. Probably my
    favorite new feature for years! That said, I’d like to see it grow and
    develop. Longterm, scouts could switch to being hired at a lower
    signing-on fee but a weekly or seasonal wage, forcing you to manage
    your finances between maintaining your current squad and bringing in
    top talent to scout new players. This model could extend to weekly
    wages for other staff as well: a youth team coach, with better/more
    expensive coaches yielding more player growth in your academy; bring
    back specialized coaches for the same results in your senior squad;
    make the assistant manager a hired position with better ASMs perhaps
    contributing to squad morale or form… many possibilities! Have the
    staff/scouts on contracts, so you can renew if they are doing well for
    you or replace them if someone better comes along (and you can afford
    it…)

    Short term, one of my few frustrations with the current set up is that
    no club starts with at least one scout! I typically pick a lower tier
    team (England Division 2) and try to build a team to work my way up
    through the leagues. Also gives me a chance to blood the youngsters in
    a division where they can hold their own, since once I hit Premiere
    League they only get played because I am stubborn and want them to get
    playing time, rather than being comparable to the teams around them.
    But picking a lower league team means a TINY starting budget
    (appropriately) and by the time I hire one middling scout I have no
    money left for more scouts, any transfers, or extended scouting trips
    and signing on fees for youth players if I DO find them! Should start
    the game with at least one low level scout per team (mirroring real
    life) which you can add to and improve as the seasons roll on.

       Also, be able to scout/poach other clubs youth academies. Might not be the fairest thing out there, but it DOES happen, and frequently, in real life. Be nice if released youth players wound up staying in the game as well. I had a promising CB come through my youth academy that wouldn’t sign a contract regardless of how much I offered him (reported by many people as a bug in other forums) so when he left the club in mid-April he wound up in the free agents pool. By the time the transfer window opened the following season, he was gone from the game for good. Did a search by name in the transfer screen and he was nowhere to be found! Too bad, too. He was the only youth player I’ve seen in any of my career modes that had a starting OVR of 70! Reza Tamata. I still remember his name… Is that wrong?

    fifa doesnt own the rights to uefa, pes does and ea has said that they willprobably never have rights to uefa. Anyways they should make a dynamic player performance in career mode like in madden (american football) if someone is hot boost their ratings for 2-3 games if they r playing terrible decrease their ratings.

    I’m also into the authenticity of giving you a “pro” footballer feeling in career mode.
    Make it more realistic to an individual player like:
    - Allowing players the option to control either only his pro or the entire team per game (exists in 12) and allow users to choose the option for this if the pro gets subbed or sent-out(which in 11 just simply allows you to sim rest of the match).
    - Give players the feeling of how a pro feels when starting from the bench. Allow the game to be simulated up to the time the your pro is subbed in for a starter.
    - Allow coaches to let the player know what strategy is the team going to use and just simply gives the player instructions (to follow it or not is the player’s choice)
    - More commentary names for the pro.
    - More customization for the pro.
    - Training sessions (that can be skipped since not every one will like it) for those who opted to use only their virtual pro.

    I am Ramon Lucas, I live in Brazil has always played PES over the last FIFAs are making me change my mind, but I think FIFA has a lot to improve for example would love to improve the mode of play with a player and make his career and very weak as you choose the team that plays very unrealistic and should have contracts with weaker teams and then you can play on teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona and others. Another thing I find very bad and the body of the players seem robotic dolls more lives to them with muscles, sweating, blinking players. I also like to see things as interviews Fifa Manager who thought as much material in newspapers, trophies for coaches.

    EL and Cl won’t happen, PES has the licenses for them. But what I want in career is:
    1. You can get free players without a club while not in the trasfer period.
    2. Try to get the real cup when you win like the BPL
    3. Since I’m from Holland, I always start in the Eredivisie, but plz, add the second league. I want promotion etc.
    4. Player names need improvement. I got a black goalkeeper called Van Persie, like WTF.
    5. Sponsors. You can choose a sponsor which will give you money for each week and for each win.
    6. Make it ‘harder’ to buy players. I’m in season 2 and have a lot of new players which are all expensive (Sergio Ramos, de Vrij, Götze, Eriksen, Fabregas, Hazard, Ronaldo).

    For the other features in the game:
    1. Fix the referee’s AI and the player’s AI
    2. Crowd improvement. Seriously, the graphics from the crows are for 1900
    3. Celebrating goals with crowd would be awesome!

       Agree with signing free agents outside window especially. Recently had a defender crisis at my club, with top three CBs (out of 4) all out for various extended injuries. I wound up promoting a couple of youth team defenders before time (I usually try to let them grow in the youth squad as long as possible) to get through it. Looked at the free agents pool and there was a CB at the top of the list who would have started every game for me for a month!
      Also, a little jealous you got a youth player named Van Persie… I got a Bergkamp once and signed him immediately. Unfortunately he was horrible (starting OVR 40-44, potential 65-71 once the scout had time to look at him properly) so I had to let him go…

    The worlds best players leaving the likes of Real Madrid for Spurs are another club that failed to qualify for the Champions Cup is a problem. Ozil and Silve were both playing for Arsenal in my game and arsenal finished 6th in the league. n this case never mind being able o sign these players they should loose them as they aren’t in a position o have this kind of quality t their club. 

    Manchester City at the start of every manager mode they sell Silva, Kompany and Ya Ya. This is silly. They are trying b the worlds best and they have the finance to do it but yet they sell their best players and fail to qualify for the Champions Cup. 
    These little things are the kinds of things that complete the game.

    I don’t care for player faces at all. Make Messi look like Gandhi for all I care.

    Graphics don’t really matter to me within reason. 2012 graphics were fine. I’d rather have better gameplay then graphics.

    I’d love to see more of a youth academy influence. I’d also love to be able to practice with my CM team in CM. Not at the start of the game, but practice within CM mode. Not to gain xp or anyting like that (but maybe that), but just to try new things out.

    Fix small gameplay issues. Why is my tiny LB guarding Crouch in the box on a corner? Why can I beat Real Madrid easily with Barca, only to get destroyed by Osasuna.

    Ability to look at my players stats from previous seasons.

    I think improving the physical aspects of the players would be good because unlike therival pro evolution soccer 13 (this new franchise that I think has everything to be better than fifa this year) because they seem robots walking and running during the game.Making the uniforms look more real and facial expressions, so be a better pro because if I do I get on striker Messi instead of choosing to play in Barcelona. Well that’s it! it waspointless because I’m Brazilian and I use the google translator.

    I agree with most of the ideas that people have shared on this page and i think that some of them are great!

    What i would like to see fifa work on the minor things like

    1. Players warming up on the sideline/Players on the bench
    2. Managers on the sideline and Close ups of current managers from time to time
    3. Interactive Press Conferences for Manager Mode and Be a Pro
    4. Contract Negotiations and Transfer offers for your Be a Pro
    5. Player Patches change depending on leagues and if team wins league title
    6. Updated commentary every season (i still get “5 european cups won” for liverpool when ive won 9)
    7. Naming players about transfers and contracts in gameplay, instead of commentary being so broad

    Those are few of my ideas, Feedback would be nice :)

Not a big deal in the slightest, but on the main menu, when you go to “career mode” have load career or continue career be the default, and have to scroll up to start a new career… Easy-peasy, but I can’t count the number of times I have accidentally started a new career when rushing though the menu!

    In Fifa 12 some players can’t be sold. Lampard, Ameobi and Carragher are a few for example. I think this should be erased for Fifa 13 and also there’s one particular problem when trying to by players from so called rival clubs. If this player is not a regular player in the side and you place a bid that has been accepted by the club it proves difficult to get him to sign the contract. To be getting into a club that’s wiling to give them more playing time which is something their being deprived of at their current club is enough to sure up his signature and it’s the same thing even if the player is on the transfer list.

    First thing that needs to be fixed is the ridiculous fouls in the penalty box. If one of my players is hassling the opponent in the penalty box for too long (pressing the B button), the referee calls it a penalty kick. That’s how it is played in real life and 95 percent of the times is normal. The best strategy for a strong and slower defender is to slow down a fast forward by using his strength and can’t even use it in fifa 12.

    About 50 percent of the balls the opponent crosses and impacts the defender, is a penalty kick and a lot of times there isn’t a clear chance of scoring a goal. I can understand if the ball is heading toward the goal, but in a non-risk situation… it’s not even realistic. A change should be implemented.

    The Argentine league should be included. There is a lot of potential in that league. A copa libertadores would be nice too.

    Commentators make the same comments over and over and most of the time they comments are incoherent.

    My Career mode ideas: 1. In manager mode i would like to see the transfers be more realistic. Like if a player is a totteham player there would be a smaller chance to go to arsenal. Not impossiblr but harder they should make that you have little chats withbplayers to persuade them. U should interact with training facilities. I would like to have player warmong up on the sideline, and you could close up on managers getting angry.
    2. Player mode. For the player mode they should add transfers. Simple other clubs shod be able to make offers to you. During the year. They also should have an interact with press. Were either theu catch u at a club or u speak to them about your involment with the club. and happines.they should also make it more of a challenge to get the ball from ur teamates. Now u simply hit a and theyll pass they should make it more realistic. Also they should be able to subb u out if ur playing bad.
    basic:They should have rivaliery” s mor realistic. Maybe even have a fight break out every once in a while.

    i think you should have like different shirts for the different competitions because i play with real madrid and i am in the champions cup and i am playing with a la liga shirt on with a la liga logo  instead of like a champions league logo on the shirt sleeves, and i think you should also have a celebration of taking your shirt off or celebrating with the crowd.

    also i think you should like mabye make old trafford better because instead of two clips where one is  coming out of the tunnel and then the other showing them coming out the middle you should have one with them coming out of the dressing room then in the tunnel and the music when the players are walking out of old trafford.

    another idea i have is like players should do the hand shakes before the game,also they could do pre game warmups or something.

    I would like to see an International career manager mode, where you can be a manger of an international squad. This would include picking players for squads based on form from a country’s entire pool of players, playing/organizing friendlies, playing in tournaments and qualifying matches. This would be awesome. I love the career mode, they just have to make new versions and keep it fun and exciting. Also, they should add new leagues and teams. There can never be enough teams to play!

    The passing in Fifa 12 is at an all time bad, It’s never been worse. A few examples are through balls from central midfield to the forward will go to the full back if they are running in close range to the midfielder who’s playing the pass, when making a pass in the oppositions half or to a man inside their box the ball will ALWAYS go to the man who’s offside rather than the player you wanted to pass the ball to, when passing the ball back to central midfield from the oppositions half the ball ends up being passed back to your central defenders and another is when passing the ball across field on many occasions the ball will go to the wrong man and quickly your player will be intercepted and you’r hit on the break. This can be a real problem when you’r in close range to your own goal. 
     
    I think use really took the fun out of the game in Fifa 12. Yes we want realism and a challenge but to achieve this i don’t think use need to put all the little things in the game that make you give the ball away or to be unable to score etc. 

    The freedom to play Fifa your own way has gone. Myself and everyone i know and even when i play head to head online everyone plays the same way, short passing football. When you try to play fluent mixed passing and attacking football you give the ball away because the ball continuously goes to the wrong man. Ok the home games aren’t as bad but this is the main stand out thing in Fifa 12 that is just so silly. (Away game play) away from home if you do get fluent and against the odds you string it together things start to become clumsy. It’s almost like if you created Fifa 12 home game play then added things to the game and changed the gameplay for the away games then at one stage you made a really good but far from a great game then destroyed it. I think this time you need to make it great because although i never played Pro Evo i hear many people say it just out did Fifa in so many ways this time. Player names and team names are one thing in a long list that we as football game Enthusiasts want and use have that but the previous two games had been terrible and a complete disappointment.

    1. Improve foul calling – countless times I’ve flicked the ball past the keeper in a one-on-one only to have him take me out, which should be an automatic red card. Over half the time, I don’t even get a foul, much less a penalty.
    2. Let people quit within five minutes, but not after conceding a goal
    3. You should be able to skip post game replays, highlights, etc. without consent from other player – the game’s over! why do we need someone else to agree to move on? too many times people just don’t hit the A button and make me sit there for 5 minutes while it goes through handshaking, celebrations, game highlights, etc.

      And for the computer to change formation and make better subs. Say your winning 3-0 at half time, The computer makes no changes and at the 60 min mark the may bring on a defender then another at around 70+ mins and with 10 mins to go they may make a like for like sub up front.

    First off, i’d like to talk about player appearance. 

    -I’m not sure how to describe it, but a player’s “swag” is very important to me because it makes me want to play with them and gives them a certain glow i guess 

    For example, Alex Song has the red sweat bands and the gloves with the high socks and his crazy hair, also when he rolls up his long sleeve. In the game, he just has sweat bands on, and looks *. I would like EA to spend alot more time in making all the accessories, cleats, and appearances better. i know this doesnt really involve manager mode but it makes every game in manager mode so much sweeter. 

    some accessories i want 
    - placement of sweatbands and/or tape 
    - have long normal or short shorts( not different shorts entirely but just how they wear them) 
    - tucking in jersey only in the front 
    - the sliders that go longer than the shorts 
    - snoods( i guess fifa banned those?) 
    - some players nowadays, cut their team socks, wear normal socks and tape team socks on the rest of leg 
    - taping above the shinguards 
    - more cleats, and update when they come out( especially right after the game comes out!) 
    - youth players wearing actual cleats,not just random, but pertaining to their position 
    - undershirts( hopefully celebration to take off jersey) 
    - socks are good already but they should add extra long and be able to move shingards low or high. 
    - goalies can wear hats ( haha?) and beanies i guess 
    - sometimes players wear armbands to honor a death or natural disaster 
    - england teams wear poppys on their jerseys during those months 

    I believe these would increase the originality in manager mode when you buy new players or when players look alike. I guess it make some players feel cool to play with as well. 

    Secondly, In regard to changing or customizing jerseys in later years of manager mode. 

    I think an easy solution would be able after every 2 (fifa) years be able to choose a set of jerseys that you’re club is wearing or has worn in the past 10 or 15 (real life) years. EA has already used these jerseys before so i don’t see much problem with licensing. This would provide a fresh feel to each year and make each year feel different. Maybe, on a cold day players wear warm-up jackets to handshakes before game. 

    Thirdly, many people neglect this, but it is the thing that annoys me most, player runs. 

    EA are either too lazy or too stupid, but every player makes horizontal, or parallel to sideline, and straight runs no matter what. Players almost never make straight parrallel runs and it makes defending easy for the opponent. 

    there are 180 degrees a player can make a run forward at. They can make it right to where the pass went, a little to the left, a little the right, curved, sideways, blindside runs, check in and spin off, or overlap. Basically any combination play that comes to mind. i think if this was in fifa, it would elevate the playing level so high and make the passing game so much more fun. 

    Fourth, i agree with scouting of shortlisted players and fixing of loans and swap deals and fix all the bugs. 

    5. As far as weekly or daily training for players. 
    I think it would be better that ,occasionally players work by themselves, and that can be dictated by the manager. Otherwise, we choose a plan for the whole team. 

    Like this

    Conditioning % 
    Set Pieces % 
    Defense % 
    Passing % 
    Finishing % 
    Offense % 

    Thus, you choose how much your teams spends on each thing and that dictates how your team plays in games, as well as symbolizing what can of manager you are. In the Off-season, there could be goals that you give each player to get better at and he works on that. 

    6. Stadium Customization 

    If we get the realistic amount of money for champions league and league standing, then this could be possible. i dont mean a 1 to 10 bar, but a detailed upgrade and just changing the color of parts of stadium. there would be like atleast 10 different parts of the stadium that you could upgrade or change. Also, putting posters and memorabilia all over the place. Also, changing the words of the pictures painted into the seats, and Investing in the quality of the pitch. Change the color of the nets. 

    7. Atmosphere of cup finals and commentators 

    I think that it is quite poor and could be a lot better. The commentators are like robots and have no feeling what so ever. Cup finals feel like any other game, and the celebration is pathetic. Where’s the podium and shaking hands with “important” people, announcer screaming, shooting champagne, medals, and only the ending 11 are ever celebrating

    Please license the ekstraklasa! I hate that they have an entire league with generic jerseys, I want a touch of authenticity when I’m playing with Legia. Also it’d be cool to hear ynwa at anfield or glory glory at old trafford. Also I’d like to play the Czech, Croatian and Ukrainian domestic leagues. There’s some cool clubs with a lot of history in eastern europe.

    How has no one mentioned player and team creation and customization!!!

    1. More options for hair etc. cause the options given now, if u made a whole team of created players, ur gonna have half of them that look really similar!
    2. Team Creation! And A better one at that! Not a few simple and dull looking tops and shorts u choose from, as much as PES sucks tbh, compared to Fifa, PES Has amazing Team creation, really detailed when it comes to kits, I want that in Fifa! Including A list of  kit sponsors and normal sponsors, for example: Choosing Nike, and Fly Emirates or Aeon or Samsung, watever!
    3. In Manager Mode, also giving the option to change the kits around a bit so after every season you could make slight changes to your home and away kits just like real life!
    4. Better Celebrations after winning the cup, and I saw someone mention something about Trophy rooms and pictures with the Trophies, those were some good ideas, basically go back to Fifa World Cup 2006, and use those kinds of celebrations haha! We want to actually feel we won the cup! Not just a few dives on the floor and waving to the crowd and fireworks, and you can barely hear the crowd

    Other then that, Fifa 12 was amazing, and I can’t wait for Fifa 13, but if you do those 4 things to improve Fifa 13, you could blow PES right out of the water! Trust me ;)

    Does anybody know if the new mexico premier league will be on fifa 13? It would be great if fifa added the the Copa Libertadores wich will have to add the south american leagues. Im just saying because I love the leagues here in the Americas just as much ass the european football.

    Licence ALL Premier League teams and stadiums, update boots,improve referee, managers on the sideline, players warming up, crowd, more realistic celebration when you score a important goal.
    PS. fix the offside bug happends ALL time, when the opposite team is in offside and you recieve the ball then referee blow the whistle. please when it happens you will get advantage.

    i think it’s not important that face of the players are good or not.
    i think the style is more important than the faces and it was really good.
    if you add managing the national teams to FIFA 13 will take it better and if in manager mode we have a staff and we can change it, it will better.

    My ideas are:
    1) The actual stadiums for all the Premier League Teams (at least) because, for example on my Everton career mode, I played the first game of the season against Spurs at a stadium that looked nothing like White Hart Lane, and then in the second game (at home) I played in the exact same stadium and that looked nothing like Goodison Park. Sort it out EA!
    2) Better commentators
    3) The Offside System needs to be fixed. The linesman keeps giving offsides against me for a player that was offside but wasn’t involved in play at all, he was at the other end of the field and I passed it back to one of my defenders. It also keeps giving offsides when the player is about 10 yards onside.
    4) World Cup Tournament perhaps?? There is no International Tournaments, you have to create your own. Perhaps you could be the England manager (for example) and pick your own squad.
    5) Add teams like Shaktar Donetsk who aren’t in FIFA at the moment.
    6) Do something about Player-Manager Mode-I don’t really see the point in it, all it essentially is is Player Mode but you can do Team Management. What about signings? You can play as just your Pro but you can make signings.
    7) Sort out the Rivals thing in the transfer market on Career Mode. What I mean is that is says that, say you’re Everton and you want to sign Nigel De Jong, for example, from Manchester City, it says “Since this a rival we will have to pay over to get the player” but let’s be honest, Everton and Manchester City are not rivals and have never been rivals. It’s acceptable when it’s transfers between Everton + Liverpool and Man Utd + Man City because that rarely happens in real life.
    8) I agree with Scorake’s Team Creation idea and also the idea of being able to adjust a teams kit after every season so you’re not wearing the same kit every season, or even just EA having a selection of kits you can choose from for each team.

    I have a couple of suggestions which I believe will improve gamer interaction and experience.

    1. When choosing your kits for the game, the goal keeper kit should also be accessible for change as to not conflict with the opposing team colours and also the ref kit should automatically change as to not conflict with any team playing.

    2. Better and more emotional celebrations and crowd reactions especially in ‘big games’ and goals scored at curtial times.

    3. Improved League and Cup final winning celebrations. Proper presentions including the whole squad and manager etc.

    4. In ‘Career Mode’ actually create a Manager like creating a player. This manager can be seen in cut scenes during game play and press confrences etc.

    5. If you have mathematically won your league title before your season has finished, then you should be presented and crowned champions then instead of waiting until the last game of the season and the same if teams are relagated from a league.

    6. Referees and linesmen that make the occasional mistake allowing a goal for offside etc now and again.

    7. In ‘Career Mode’ introduce a ‘Trophy Room’ for the club you are Managing or playing for and a ‘Trophy Cabinet’ showing all of the awards you have won thoughout your career in all clubs you have been a part of.

    8. Better commentary in relation to players who you have bought or sold in the transfer windows especially if playing against a previous club.

    9. Player relations to in game incidents. If a player is badly fouled or playing in an ill-tempered game, then why can’t the players show their emotions (like Joey Barton, Mario Balotelli etc) having other players be peace keepers and as a Manager you can react to in game incidents with too much protest resulting in you being sent to the stands etc.

    10. Better crowd reactions to substitutes being made. If a player has played well and your team is winning, why does the crowd have to ‘boo’ everytime? Why not congratulate that player on a good game?

    Just a few additions I’d love to see in the next FIFA title but none will get listened to and EA will make the game “from the ground up” but only make a few subtle changes to FIFA 12 so maybe by the time FIFA 30 is out, we will have everything we want in this footballing title. All EA have to do is actually watch some football from different countries to see what kind of interactions and reactions people have each week and add them into the beautiful game.

    Yes i agree with what evebody else wants i would also like to see those changes and i think they should make the inernational kits look the way they do in real life. Fifa 13 should also have more stadiums like the ones in South Africa and also have more teams like the whole psl league not only two South Afrcan teams. Fifa 13 comentators should also try and pronounce South African player names correctly. Thank you very much:-)

    I’m sorry  ,I agree with most of this, but gamers have been calling for Referee and Linesman mistakes in the past and we all know that if this happens against us in a game we will get really annoyed :)

    mi sugerencia es que mejoren los accecorios por ejemplo los zapatos que coloquen los ultimos zapatos los nike adidas todos esos no los del año pasado asi es muy fome y tambien que pongan distintos modos de juego como la champions league o europa league copa sudamericana etc tambien que actualicen los uniformes de los equipos como el nuevo uniforme del barcelona ;)

    Agree with everything above, but they should also add:
    1. New leagues, such as the Chinese Super League
    2. New national teams from every continent each year, such as the Lebanese national football team
    3. Improve EA Servers
    4. More encouragement to young players
    5. Club legeds should be included, and also a trophy room
    6. Realistic celebrations for each players, such as Ronaldo’s calm down celebration
    7. newer stadiums
    8. Crowd improvement- such as chants for each player – real chants!
    9. more improvements in manager mode
    10. more realistic player movement- suchj as SLOWLY getting up after getting hurt…. and arguing with players, more different ways to get red csrds, etc..

    Im honestly not sure that anyone has put any effort into improving fifa “seasons.” FIrst of my games are disconnected more than half of the time I try to play. The real thing is that I’m sick and tired of playing the same team over and over. I literally played Real Madrid five times in a row. This is annoying and needs to be fixed. Maybe two times in a row but really practically every time.
