FIFA 13 will be supporting Kinect

EA Games have officially confirmed they will be including Kinect support in the next installment of the FIFA series.

Kinect, Microsoft’s motion-free gaming console, is able to track the player’s hands and feet, so there is no doubt it will add an interesting way of playing FIFA. The handheld console PlayStation Move will not be supported because they find it does not really “add value to the experience”.

David Rutter, lead Fifa producer for EA games, also said that the video game FIFA 13 will not be powered by a whole new Player Impact Engine like FIFA 12, simply because it is said to be already “future proof”. He added there will be some pretty big game play changes but the game will not see revolutionary changes. Rutter continued saying there is always some tweaking to be done to the general game play but no major changes are to be expected.

    Hope to see the following changes in FIFA 13:
    1. Playing for international teams in career mode. 2. World Cup in career mode.
    3. Licensed UEFA Champions League and Europa League.
    4. Ability for players to make their own teams/ leagues OFFLINE and play with them in Career mode.

    Fifa 12 is great!

    But here is a few things to make fifa 13 perfect:

    1, take example from fifa 09 where you can spend your money on upgrading staff or stadiums not just buying players.

    2, emails from press and board members asking questions which can affect your fan bass and job security like in 08/09.

    3, have a play through free kick tutorial to train with.

    4, be able to argue red card decisions after a match to get the ban over turned.

    5, be able to create your own team which starts by building from youth players starting in either conference or bottom league.

    6, be able to interupt simulation and play rest of match.

    7, be able to select to call goalie up for a corner.

    8, have a retro fifa game inbuilt like in fifa 11.

    9, have an option like celebrations but dissapointment when conceeding a goal.

    10, have arguement between player which you as the manager have to deal with in the press (see point 2).

    11, be able to select sponsors to gain money like in fifa 09 and 10.

    12, be able to shoot from own half for when a keeper is running back from a corner in last few minuites of game.

    13, have a be a ref version of be a pro.

    14, have a dive button like in fifa world cup 98.

    15, i know this is a fifa forum but maybe EA Sports could make an english hockey (what some people call field hockey which is the incorrect name) game.

      This is fantastic ideas! I’ve thinked of many of your ideas my self + some new! I thought i was the onely one who wanted this. I really hope ea sports take most of this in fifa 13 ! :D

    1. Pre match and half time coach talks to players.
    2. Having to deal with players away with International Duty. Discusions with National Team manager on player feedback and performance, selection consideration and such.
    3. National Team Career mode, including in depth scouting, in-depth media work eg interactive press conferences, media appearances and so forth..
    4. Have the abillity to bring players out of retirement

    Remove the finesse shot and any option when playing pro clubs. Player impact engine needs reworking as its too inaccurate

    Most of the opinions offered are pretty much what I want with some of my own being a online manager mode, madden has already shown it can work. Also make playing without an any on clubs should be more of a punishment by dropping the computer AI difficulty to pro no one would want to play with computer any then, cutting out a chipped through ball with a huge punt up-field to land at the feet of the VP’s isn’t exactly realistic. Getting slightly better random players in clubs when your club goes up a star level. Being able to build up or build a whole new stadium in manager mode. Last improvement for me would be to bring the collections back into FUT. Not that EA ever will do any of these but can hope

    MONITOR HACKED PRO’S. I spend way to much time building my pro honestly to be outstaged and out ran by someone with a laptop and USB card there’s gotta be a different way to save pro progress that can make it harder or hopefully impossible to cheat and hack. These 8 feet tall players that are as fast as theo Walcott compromise the integrity of pro ranked and clubs and make those game modes not fun!
    Also we do not need to see how many players are on the other team if I’m going to play clubs with only 2 people I should be prepared to play 11. This would also stop clubs from waiting until they only see 2 or 3 people to try and boost their records. EA needs to take a hard stance against cheating especially with FIFA an organization that prides itself on fair play.
