FIFA 13: It’s Goodbye Rooney and Hello Messi

EA has recently released a non-denominational version of FIFA 13‘s cover art. The photo shows Lionel Messi, up front and center with Arsenal’s Alex Olande-Chamberlain and Manchester’s Joe Hart.
Messi was also offered a similar role on Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer series, but FIFA won him anyways.
Since 2005, Wayne Rooney has been the FIFA 13 front man. He has shared the cover with other stars such as Kaká, Frank Lampard, and Ronaldinho
But this year, the game franchise decided not to renew the partnership.
In a statement issued by EA, they said that it was a mutual decision to not renew the partnership, and that though the last seven seasons were phenomenal successes, it is time for both parties to “explore other avenues.”
It seems a pleasurable agreement as EA wished Rooney good luck.
The FIFA 13 demo
The FIFA 13 demo will come out on September 11 and the full version on September 28 on PlayStation 2, Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, PSP, 3DS, and PS Vita. A Wii U version is commissioned to come out later this year.
