Referee Intelligence In Fifa 13 Should Improve

Fifa 13 release is on the horizon, and many fans will be wanting to get their hands on the game. 

EA Sports haven’t really released much details regarding the overall game engine of Fifa 13 so people are still guessing on what the whole game will pan out to be.

One improvement for sure that EA Sports should be adding to Fifa 13 is the improvement of  the Referee’s Intelligence.

Overall, referee’s intelligence on Fifa 12 is pretty poor. There has been many games played where fantastic interceptions have been made in the penalty box, as well as other parts on the pitch where the ball has been intercepted perfectly from an opponent, the replay backs this up conclusively, yet the referee calls a foul and worse of all, in many occasions sends the player off for the foul.

In all games played on Fifa, the role of the referee as well as his assisting officials, is crucial. We see in real life football, match officials ’s do get some of their decisions wrong and those mistakes, which can be costly for a team add’s to the overall excitement and controversial of the game.

No one is asking EA  to make match officiating on fifa 100% accurate because that would make game play boring and predictable but  many would want to see better improvements made to intelligence in particular of the  referee on Fifa 13.

    I think it would have to invest in stages when the player is also contudice, entered a carriage and driving the doctors and logical atendece show the Reserve Bank technicians, interviews with players after the games the judge to use the whistle and have actually kk spray that marks the places where the barrier is the lack or happened to be a real game has to focus on minimal and mainly focus on the details and she twisted that sometimes in impolga to win a game that would give up

    How about hand ball calls i have yet to see that in any fifa game

      Hand balls are preset to be off in the game. If you go to options, you can turn hand balls on but in many cases it is a waste of time as the referee will make some ridiculous, and game changing calls regarding hand balls. My advice, leave it off.

      yeah hes right i never turn it on you can block a cross from literally a mm away and the ref calls handball and gives a penalty/freekick and even worse sometimes sends a player off with a second yellow dont even bother with it

    it is too easy for a virtual pro goalie to make saves. you could volley it from 5 feet away and they’d catch it, thats not realistic at all. EA needs to change that

    Fifa do need to make the referee’s more intelligent and also they should add more cut scenes with the refs maybe seeing them write the players name in there book as a warning and maybe when there are subs see the official put the board up for subs and extra time :) Lastly make the referees split up fights between maybe a Manchester derby or London derby gives that sense of realism seeing the ref book 2-3 players when players square off at each other :)

    Yes, definitely. Especially for the offside calls. EA designs the referees to be TOO accurate whether the player is offside or not whereas in a real game, it somewhat but not too accurate.
