PS Vita Lords over Amazon’s Pre-order Catalogue

The Sony PS Vita is leading the way in amazon’s pre-order catalogue chart.

The PlayStation Vita has got a great deal of good reviews in the US during its launch at Siren Studios last week, with heart-warming remarks like “it’s the best handheld device ever” and “I’m dropping Nintendo DS for this.” But a couple of good reviews aren’t enough. There has to be a whole lot of convincing people that PS Vita will give you a gaming experience like no other mobile device has given anyone before.

But good omen is showing for PS Vita as its WiFi version of the console with an 8GB memory card conquers the pre-order chart of Amazon.co.uk’s PC and Video Games section before its launch today.

“14 of the top 20 positions in our video games pre-order chart are held by the PlayStation Vita console, games and accessories, which clearly illustrates the level of excitement that we are seeing around the product,” said Liz Hosmer, manager of video games at Amazon.co.uk. “The release of a console is always big news and the buzz created around the new technology and enhanced gameplay has ensured that the PlayStation Vita is a bestseller in our charts before it has even been released.”

PS Vita rolls out in the UK today, February 22, 2012. The cheapest item, that which is the WiFi version with 8GB memory, is available from Amazon.co.uk for only £210. Adding a game will cost £15 per title.
